Why can I no longer buy a Keurig® KOLDTM drinkmaker?
We view our initial KOLDTM system launch as a pioneering innovation. We learned from consumer feedback that while the KOLDTM system delivered great tasting cold beverages, our initial execution of KOLDTM did not fully deliver on their expectations, particularly around size, speed, and value. Because of this, we are discontinuing the first generation of our Keurig KOLDTM system. While we work to incorporate our learnings into future beverage systems, we are offering a refund to consumers who purchased a KOLD system.

Troubleshooting

I inserted a pod but the KOLDTM button isn't blinking blue.
Check that the handle is fully closed.
I inserted a pod and the KOLDTM button is blinking red.
Be sure the mixer drawer is pushed in fully.
My drink doesn’t have any flavor.
If you are using a still pod, please try again. If sparkling, select a fresh pod. Remember to remove the freshness seal from the bottom of the pod before inserting into the drinkmaker.
There seems to be a lot of water in the drip tray.
It is normal for excess water to collect in the drip tray. We recommend emptying every few days to prevent overflow.
The KOLDTM button blinked red while making a beverage and now my drink doesn’t appear to be carbonated or flavored.
Try again with a fresh pod. If the problem persists, please call Customer Care on 1 800-361-5628.
My drinkmaker is making less than six beverages in a row.
Be sure your drinkmaker is out of direct sunlight, away from heat sources and 2 inches from the wall.

My drink seems to be light on flavor and doesn’t taste quite right.
The pod holder insert may have syrup obstructing air flow preventing a full dispense of syrup. To clear valve, remove the insert, rinse valve area under warm water and replace insert when clean. If you continue to have the issue, please contact Customer Care, 1 800-361-5628.

What do the different colors around the KOLDTM button mean?
Each ring color around the KOLDTM button is designed to tell you what state that the drinkmaker is in. It will be blinking to indicate you need to take action.
  • Not Lit - Not ready, chilling.
  • Purple - Ready for Priming.
  • Blue - Ready to make a beverage.
  • Red - See troubleshooting for help.
How do I know my Keurig® KOLDTM drinkmaker is ready to make a beverage?
If the ring around the KOLDTM button is blue and the snowflake stays lit, that’s your cue to let the drinkmaking begin.
How do I make a beverage with the Keurig® KOLDTM system?
Simply select a KOLDTM pod and remove the freshness seal from the bottom. Pop the pod into the drinkmaker and close the handle firmly. Push the KOLDTM button and in about 90 seconds, your perfectly chilled fresh-made beverage will be ready to enjoy. Once the beverage has been dispensed, be sure to remove the pod.
How many beverages can I make in my Keurig® KOLDTM drinkmaker?
The Keurig® KOLDTM drinkmaker is always ready to make at least 6 beverages in a row, before needing 15 minutes to re-chill. If you want more drinks, consider party mode.
What type water should I use for the best beverages?
We recommend using room temperature or cooler, filtered water in your Keurig® KOLDTM drinkmaker.
What is Party Mode?
Party Mode allows you to make 30+ beverages in a row. The Keurig® KOLDTM drinkmaker is always ready to make at least 6 beverages in a row, before needing 15 minutes to re-chill. But when you have a crowd to please or you notice your chiller gauge is low, simply add ice to the water reservoir to make even more beverages in a row (what we call Party Mode) and keep the fun going.

What are KOLDTM KarbonatorTM beads?
KarbonatorTM beads are minerals we manufacture. They have tiny porous spaces, like a sponge, that can hold onto carbon dioxide, the very same CO2 that is used to carbonate seltzers, sodas, and other sparkling beverages. When moistened with water, the beads release the CO2 to add the perfect amount of fizz to your sparkling beverage.
What is the seal at the bottom of the Keurig® KOLDTM pod and why do I need to remove it before making a beverage?
The peel-able freshness seal helps ensure the highest quality drink making experience possible. It must be removed before use to enable the beverage to be dispensed properly.
What is the shelf life of Keurig® KOLDTM pods?
The Best Use By Date is printed on both the beverage cartons as well as on the KOLDTM pods. The date is not an expiration date - it is recommended by Keurig® as a guideline for optimal beverage freshness to ensure the highest quality drink making experience possible.
How should I store my KOLDTM pods?
KOLDTM pods should be stored at room temperature or approximately 60-80◦ degrees Fahrenheit (15-27◦ degrees Celsius). Please do NOT store them in the refrigerator. Doing so will give you a less than ideal beverage experience.
Are the Keurig® KOLDTM pods recyclable?
Used Keurig® KOLD pods may be accepted for recycling in select communities that accept items labeled “#7 – OTHER.”. You'll need to remove the foil seal at the top of the pod. With sparkling beverages, the KarbonatorTM beads and filter must also be removed prior to recycling. We recommend that you check with your municipality or waste hauler to see if the accept KOLDTM pods for recycling.

Care & Maintenance

How should I clean my Keurig KOLDTM drinkmaker?
We recommend cleaning the drinkmaker as needed. The water reservoir cover, drip tray, drip tray cover and front cover are all top rack dishwasher safe. To remove the drip tray, simply slide out from under the drinkmaker. To remove the front cover, gently push the tab up to slide off.

The mixer drawer is also dishwasher safe once you remove the mixer ring. Remove the mixer ring by slipping off of mixer drawer. Replace by aligning the notch and pushing back on to the mixer drawer.

The water reservoir, pod holder insert and flow ring are hand wash only. To remove the water reservoir, simply lift up. To remove the pod holder insert, insert finger into pod holder and gently lift. The pod holder should be wiped down with a clean, wet towel.
